PANDOS is hosting a Virtural Music Festival Fundraiser for Covid-19 relief efforts benefiting the Navajo Nation and surrounding tribes.
PANDOS has secured a purchase order to acquire 8,000 Covid-19 testing kits from local manufacturers and is partnering with Utah Navajo Health System providers to provide these desperately needed supplies to communities in the Four Corners region. Indigenous communities have been hit particularly hard by the novel coronavirus, Covid-19. In fact, the Navajo Nation has the highest infection rate per capita in the country, higher even than New York.
Mutual aid efforts have been working around the clock to provide essential items, like food, water, firewood, and sanitation supplies, to elders and families in need. These efforts are hindered by the rural road conditions and vastly sparse population on the Reservation. Those same obstacles can make it hard for individuals to get the medical care they need, which is why PANDOS is launching the Covid-19 Mobile Testing Unit Project, to ensure that regional providers can bring the tests to the people. Now, we need your help to raise awareness and raise funds to help support the purchase of these vital medical supplies. This summer we are hosting a one-day virtual music festival, in partnership with KRCL and local artists, which will stream live on PANDOS’s Facebook Page. Will you join us?
